Hop To It!

Hop to it! – Easter bunny photo shoot

Whoever said you should never work with animals or children has clearly not made the acquaintance of Freckles, a Dwarf Lionhead rabbit of Southgate, north London, who has been waiting five years for her thirty minutes of fame! On a sunny Easter Sunday morning, models Lili, Heidi, Katie and Henry swopped Easter eggs for carrot sticks & lots of fluffy cuddles, with only a couple of diva-ish moments when Freckles had to be coaxed from her trailer and back on set!

It was a fun morning, the sun shined and everybody had a good time! Thank you Chris for the use of your garden, and Susan for the use of Freckles! Well done to Katie, Lily, Heidi and Henry for being great models!

This could become an annual event!

Teagan and Jayden

I got to shoot the amazing Teagan and Jayden as part of a Royal Society of Photographers workshop based in Amersham old town. The shoot was organised by the excellent pro photographer Soraya Cortaville. They were both so good to work with on what was an extremely cold and windy March afternoon. They are both also working again for Soraya at the Photographers Show at the NEC Birmingham later this month.

Many Thanks go to Soraya Cortaville, Teagan and Jayden, RPS and Simon at Amersham Studios.

Beyond The Lens Photography Festival. Association of Photographers/RPS – PhotoBlock

Attended an excellent day on Saturday at Truman Brewery, Shoreditch. Exhibitions by AOP, as well as the British Press Association and Royal Photographic Society. Some fantastic work on display. I attended some very good talks as well including the excellent and inspirational Amit and Naroop! Thank you guys! There was also a demonstration by Tif Hunter of his ‘Tintype’ photographic process. Which I think is called the wet collodium process on metal plates. This created an beautiful ‘contrasty’ quality image on a metal plate.

This was an example of one he created that day.
